I don't understand what that means.

Uh. Did you mean that?

Hello (((JUSY A PIXIE))). I am not sure if you can understand this or not. But since women are seen as the stronger sex (having children and then surviving even through the toughest circumstances), one of the things men challenge themselves with is their sentiment to themselves in pleasing women sexually. (Erections sexual performance, and so forth). For men this is how they see themselves and measure up so to speak, (self esteem wise, and also in society as great achievers) since women are usually seen as the holding force of the family, men are dictated by systematical gratification of participation in how they perform in the bedroom and mascually (sexually) as males. (This is not the case in all circumstances though Pixie) This is just the usual and most common situation when people are not emotionally stable, or that have low self worth or esteem. This is definitely someone that I would suggest you stay away from if you can, since a lot of these people are co dependent and cant have a life that is successful without sending someone else down the tubes for their own gain, and self worth. Always be suspicious if all someone has to be concerned about is sex (either too much or too little and measuring their self worth sexual manifestations). Take care Pixie. PM anytime. Soidhonia

I have never heard this before...... but I could see how it could be true..... for it is his and he can have an orgasm every time with out fault, therefore, it might be the one thing that equalizes life and life events when all is said and done.

But then on the other hand - it is like saying all will be better is one takes drugs or drinks...... for it heals all problems..... yet we know that is not really true, for the issues are still there in the morning.

Sex weakens men after every ejaculation...until the next one.

The ability to have an erection is very important to a man. Without that ability, we cannot fill our sexual role and that's important to us. I would compare losing that ability to a woman losing her breasts (as far as self image issues go).

That said, erections and sexual performance in general are far from being the principal factor in a man's self esteem.

Some of the general pressures faced by men are to be: physically strong, physically/mentally/emotionally resiliant, sexually endowed/powerful/knowledgeable, a good provider/financially solvent, sensitive, emotionally open but simultaneously stoic, mechanically/technically inclined, athletic, attractive, decisive yet flexible, self reliant.

If any of those things are not met, a man is not a man (if you listen to society) and these pressures are very real. So losing your erection, job, looks, muscles, emotional composure, etc. also means losing your masculinity.

And if you doubt that, think of how many women would want to date a man who, for example, didn't have a job.
