I guess that depends on how you define preoccupied.

We call it an addiction to sex when the activity gets in the way of your life. For instance, if seeking sex with others (or masturbation) impacts your relationships, job, school, etc.

A classic example would be when a guy spends so much money on strippers that he can't pay rent.

If you just spend a lot of time thinking about sex, but you get your work, school, etc. accomplished....you may just be human. Lots of us think a lot about sex. But, if you do this so much that it bothers you, and feels uncomfortable for you, you might consider talking to someone about it.

If it isn't bothering you too much, know that it's normal to think about sex a lot - at least IMO!
