I'm not sure what you are taking but if it's Ambien...you might consider Ambien CR or Lunesta...or you can try herbal OTC sleeping stuff that you can find at a health food store.

A good chamomile tea before bed might help relax your mind as well.

Hugs,
Stormy

Ive had to take sleeping pills too. I notice that certain ones can provoke very vivid dreams for me. I do notice, however, that if you give it a week or two they can go away.

I had a nasty dream last night. work me up into a panic attack. I wont divulge details, it could be triggering.

Lets just say i found my reason for MY urges today. Just dont give in to it. OK? Try to stay safe,

Colleen

Hi, do you know what sleeping medication u r on??, I know in the past i took Ambien and it worked for a short time, but it didn't stop night terrors/mares, I take nothing now too sleep except my anti-anxiety meds and i have horrid nightmares/ night terrors/ my husband has to wake me out of them there so bad or make sure i don't go out sleep walking, but it will getbetter, talk to your physician about it. When I have really bad nightmares/and the terrors i take periactin, it wipes them away and i remember nothing, haven't taken that in a while though. P.S. just food for thought.

Medications can cause vivid dreaming, night terrors, and sleep walking activity. Don't accept it as normal and usual or that it's something to put up with. There are plenty of meds on the market, even for anxiety etc that you can try so as to find something that doesn't increase your issues.

Have you discussed herbal sleep aids? 1 gram (1000 mg) of valerian drops into water or tea helps most ppl to sleep well. (About 28 drops. Tablets are more expensive to find a high dose that helps.) Smaller doses during the daytime eases anxiety.

Lunesta causes terrific dreaming...sometimes good sometimes not so good. Ambien CR causes sleep activity, even driving and eating without recall.
Melatonin or products with it, also can increase night mare activity.

You just have to work with your doctor to find something that helps. But your doctor isn't a mind reader; be sure to talk to him/her!
