I have the same dream every night, but I can't remember what it is. Subconsciously I know the dream is occurring and when I wake up, I try to remember. Is this normal?

Any and all dreams we have are "normal" I think. Actually, you probably have 6-8 dreams a night, not just one, depending on how often you enter REM sleep and maybe even in non-REM sleep. But if you don't remember the dream, I find it interesting that you feel it is the same dream. Have you ever tried to make up a dream, create what you'd imagine to be the dream if you could remember?

I think if I were in your position, I would try to "laugh-at" the dream and feeling, try to catch it unaware by not trying to catch it :-)
