Ok, so I tell people that I suffer from insomnia, but that doesn't really seem to be true...

Basically, I find it hard to fall asleep. It normally takes me about an hour to get to sleep once I get to bed. But I have REALLY vivid dreams, and I sleep really lightly. I often have nightmares (at least 3-4 times a week...). So while I do sleep, it's really disturbed.

Does anyone else suffer this? And how do you cope with it? It makes me really anxious and depressed but I've been like this for YEARS and I've actually tried everything. You name it! Bedtime routines, no caffeine, no sugar, herbal remedies, etc etc etc.

Any advice?

Hi there,

I'm taking Sertraline, but am switching to Trazadone (I think that's the name!) since Sertraline isn't helping at all.

My doctor doesn't really seem to be helping much. It's so annoying.

If you talk to your doctor perhaps they can give you something. You do have to be carefull because some sleep meds can cause vivid dreams and nite terrors. Good luck in finding one that works for you
