So this dream intrigued/bothered me just a bit, and here's why. I know that, in dreams, written words are very particular. If you look away and look back, the words will never be the same, this is how you can practice in lucid dreams.

However in last night's dream, I was told to type in "V O I D" into my cell phone in order to get information for something fairly important. Through out the entire dream, v o i d kept popping up. No matter how many times I looked away from my cellphone, it stayed where I had put it. Then later, I was in some sort of mystical garden with a large antique book and an old fashion computer.

Scrawled across the top of several pages of the book was: "Luc" with a fancy design right after it. No matter where v o i d was written, it stayed there..

I found it intriguing and have been thinking of it since, I believe that my mind may have found a trick to the words scattering after one looks away in a dream. By placing spaces between each letter in the word "void" it was able to treat each letter as a separate entity that could stay in place.

So.. I was just wondering if anyone had thoughts on this.

Hmm.. Ive had a dream once, I dont' remember what the word was, but i was in an appartment that was set up like a place i lived at as a kid, and went through a school cafeteria then it turned into a buffet. but the word I saw, I remember it being backwards.

But other than that, I've always seen words as they were no backwards or anything, in my dreams.

Maybe the word void means something to you? but that is very interesting. I think anything works, and is possible. It's more of how you view them though. but that space thing between the words, sounds really interesting. lol now here, i am, thinking on it. lol

I don't think there are rules for all dreams; only maybe some in our own, since it's our personal dream world. Looks like one of the rules you had has changed and is now "void"

I usually can't read the words in my dream books; they're never the "focus" of the dream. I did have an "urgent" vocal message once in a dream that I still work on, "Don't you know? There are no fences in San Francisco!"

If your Void/Luc dream were mine, I'd look at what in my waking life had changed, what old way of seeing/doing things was now void. Your "Luc" reminded me, initially of Luke Skywalker but also of "luck" and Jean Luc Picard. Maybe you know someone named "Lucy" and you're supposed to ask yourself, "y"/Why about something?

Haha, I like your take on it Perna. That the rules changed and the previous ones are void..

I actually don't know anyone named Luke or Lucy... Perhaps Luck might have been something to do with it.

Thank you both for responding to this!

I just realized, reading over what we had written, that "Luc" and "look" are sort of similar and your discussion of "void" with spaces would fit in there too for you. Looking and having words "stay" for you, mean the same no matter that you luc away. "Void" and "V O I D" are the same.
