Hey

Sleep problems always suck. I've had my own trouble with them as well. Something you might want to think about is what could be preventing you from falling to sleep at night. A lot of times it can be anxiety, or inability to stop thinking at night and therefore not able to fall asleep. I'd try to come up with a suitable reason. If you can't find one it might be insomnia, which could be caused by depression or something of the like. Maybe you should visit a doctor and see what they have to say. When I couldn't sleep I took a vitamin called Melatonin that helped and was recommend by my psychiatrist. So sleeping pills or that kind of thing are something to look into.

Before I had my mood stabilisers i found it really difficult to sleep, are you off them becuase you personally have decided not to take them or have they been taken off your prescription or you've run out etc? I would make sure that you do take what is prescibed to you. If you have not been prescribed them and are finding it difficult to sleep obviously you need to have a conversation with your doctor. Currently I'm not sleeping despite being on mood stabilisers so they are going to prescribe me something to help me sleep which of course would be the other option for you. Not that you actually make the final decision youself
Good luck anyway, I hope you get some sleep soon!

Worked third last night, slept yesterday before going in, now can't sleep. I am taking all my meds but missed two doses of Klonopin. I am on ambien for sleep, but waiting till later to take it, so I don't end up getting up at odd hours in the middle of the night, way early morning. When I try to sleep when I have been awake for a long period of time, I get "brain zaps" that make my whole body shake at the very moment I drift off to sleep. ARRGGG>

I have had dreams that frighten me, and I realize oh crap not that dream again! Sometimes nightmares can repeat, unfortunately you dont know this until it happens :P I listen to techno before going to bed. Maybe even those sounds that are said to get rid of headaches. Maybe it could be where you live?? Sometimes certain environments can help you sleep. Mine is Florida cause it's quiet to me. Try to find the source of the problem. If I'm no help at answering your problem, sorry cause I'm just putting down random things.
