I've only been on sleeping meds once. I took ambien. Worked well for me. But everyone's body chemistry is different. I have a friend who took them and they had little effect. I hope you can get some sleep soon. My sleep goes in cycles. One week I can't sleep the next week all I want to do is sleep. Then I'm "normal" for a few weeks.

Have you tried any teas? I find camomille makes me pretty drowsy.
