Does anybody have them? They get annoying because... they create confusion. For example I dream of going to Billa (a supermarket i shop at) and buying apples and some yogurts... in the morning I wake up and go to the fridge, because I believe that I went to Billa yesterday.
Or I plan to do something or tell somebody something and than I dream about that. Yes, it's pretty embarrassing not knowing if I had send an important letter ![]()

Yes, I have dreams of that nature from time to time, leaving me wondering if I'd done some work, or talked with a family member, or even what you mentioned--whether or not I'd gone to the market and picked up some food. They're really bizarre and take a longer time to shake off than more surreal, obvious dreams once I'm awake. I can't say I don't enjoy them, however, due to their vivid qualities and real-life representations. The one thing about them I find irksome is not being able to locate that work I'd thought I'd done, or the food in the fridge or cupboard. The worst was when I was in school and I'd dream I'd done a pile of assignments, only to wake up and find them all still sitting there, waiting for me and incomplete. Then I'd usually be late for class as well.

Once I dreamt (when I was awaiting my feedback for my bachelor thesis) that I recieved it and as I opened the file it was just bunch of laughing emotes. That dream still haunts me.

That would have slayed me, to tell the truth! When I was working on my master's, I'd dream I'd finished my thesis all the time, only to wake up and find the usual notes and rough drafts I'd left around the house the night before.
![]() ![]() ![]() I dream of coffee a lot, that I'm drinking the ultimate, perfect cup, balanced in all aspects of savoriness, sweetness, and creaminess, while I sit in the cafe...a little bit of smoke wisps its way through the air, it's bright and cool out, I've got a great book on my lap or I'm doing some impressive work...and then I wake up, looking for that damned coffee...forget about the rest. ![]() |

I had once a dream that my pager went off, and I woke up and looked at it, and it was just one of those status pages, that requires no action, so I went back to sleep...
then I hear ...beep... (reminder beep, goes off every minute) Yeah, the pager did go off, but I did NOT wake up and look at it, and it was not a status page that I could ignore, but something I should get my butt out of bed and deal with. Tricky mind, lol! Other time (and I am soooo glad it hasn't happened ever again. I told my mind if it EVER DID THAT AGAIN.. grrrr..) I was very tired, and I woke up because my bladder was very full, got up, put on slippers, waddled to my bathroom, sat down... you can guess the rest <blush> I woke up for real rather quickly, before too much happened. But gosh, it was so real. |

Alot of times I'll remember doing something and not remember if it was a dream or not. Sometimes I'll have go and make sure I've really done my schoolwork; I once dreamt that I had done an assignment and didn't realize it until I had to turn it in.

Oh I experience stuff like that on a very frequent occasion. So does a friend of mine. I have definitely had dreams confused with memories. The most frustrating ones are dreams in which I gain money... and I wake up still broke. lol
I've learned tricks though to figure out if something is/was a dream. However it takes practice to end up questioning a dream while still dreaming. If in the dream you try to change the light levels (i.e. flicking a light switch), the light level won't change. If the light is on, when you try to turn it off it should stay on in a dream. Also often in dreams things can be out of proportion.. Or if you're reading something, look away, and go back to reading.. The words can have changed. Eventually you might find something unique to your dreams in particular. Like... wearing red shoes everytime when you don't own any red shoes. Good luck! lol, there should be a club for people with realistic, life-confusing dreams. |

Say for example have an underwater adventure swimming with dolphins. Or go visit some distant worlds and meet friendly amazing aliens. Or go live in a beehive for a bit (be a bee - I would love to dream that once!) Have you ever tried it? Once you see those red shoes to change the direction of your dream? |

I most certainly have vivid bizaare dreams, I am bit slack cos I dont put them on paper. but my latest 2 nights back , went out for beers with my father in law and an old drug buddie by the way this is clear like watching a hollywood movie, left the pub early as i was designated driver but not willing to tag along, began to drive home got abducted by terrorists of middle eastern descent, played incoherently drunk as was set free, the whole suburb was then under water and people where in hi tech boats, special forces smuggled my ex drug buddies into an underwater boat oh and he said he would be visiting my family and I and took off and this that and the other few fights and yeah got a bit weird like post warzone and stuff when i travelled to a different suburb blah blah blah.
I dont want to jinx myself but im glad I dont have nightmares,,,
