Yes, I have experienced this for many years and recently it has gotten a lot worse. My anxiety seems to increase closer to bedtime and so when I go to bed I'm so anxious about not being able to go to sleep that I can't. The only thing I've done that seems to help is take sleeping pills that force me to go to sleep. But then I sometimes feel like I'm so tired I'm afraid I won't wake up. So I feel your pain, sleep is definitely a struggle and something I'm working on right now with setting up a regular bed routine where I do calming things in the evening to get myself ready for sleep, like take a shower, read a book, or cuddle with my cats. And I try to take the sleeping pills two hours before bedtime so I will go to sleep at the same time every night. It's getting better but some nights I still struggle with anxiety before I go to sleep, and that's usually when I take in deep breaths through my nose and slowly exhale through my mouth.

Absolutely. It is called "insomina phobia". Sometimes u might be asleep and scared of not falling asleep. it is all in your head. i even tried to take sleeping pills .. but they are addictive and it gets worst. if u like reading or movies, try to do that and think that u do not want to sleep. it is all in the head. reverse psychology works. u will fall asleep before u know it.
u can also think: so what? what will happen if i do not sleep .. just keep urself busy. hope this helps |
