As I was explaining to someone else in a pervious post. I get so little sleep. I went to bed at 5am, woke up at 6am. Then I was up to 10 or 10:30am, slept til noon. Get back to my poor boyfriend and take an hour nap from 10 to 11 pm. Anddd here I am at 2:30.

I feel so bad for my boyfriend because I get so irritable when I cant sleep, and Im ALWAYS up lately. I couldnt get a good nights sleep if my life depended on it. Theres always too many distractions, he likes to sleep w the tv on, of course wicked loud, so I try to lay down, cant and then i sit up and Im wide awake. I cant blame it on our different preferences though, because I just cant stop my brain from thinking and going on and on and on all night.

I dont have a psychiatrist or anything, mainly because I cant afford it. So I have no help there really.

All I want is a good nights sleep :/

I don't know if these could help. I think napping during the day or evening can make it worse. If you're worrying, you should write all your worries onto paper or a diary. This can help. Here is another tip, if you don't fall asleep within 10 minutes or later. Get up and do something relaxing such as reading a calming book or draw. When you feel sleepy go back to bed. Worrying won't help. When you're in bed, if you think of worrying thoughts. Try to focus your attention on something calming and happy. For example it could be making something. I worry in bed and I tell myself... No I won't worry any more, I will think of something calming. I think of being on a rollercoaster. It helps me. You could listen to relaxing videos. There are videos of relaxing sounds and whispering which can make you sleepy. I watch and listen to these to make me sleepy for bedtime. You can search for these on YouTube. I hope this helps
Thanks for this!

Hi, I am new here, so don't know what you have tried so far, so have you figured out what is stressing you out? Have you tried journaling? I struggled for years and since I went to the Chopra Center and got a mantra for primordial sound meditation have found that I can usually go to sleep after just a few minutes of meditation, what do you think?
