I go to sleep late most every night partly because my thoughts become lucid late at night, so I like to study or read around midnight. I don't want to fall asleep because I want to crystallize my precious thoughts before slipping into subconsciousness. When I'm done reading, it's often 2 A.M. or later. The moon brings lucidity, with perhaps lunacy, for me. I function in a relative stupor during the day. I'm not in college anymore, so maybe I shouldn't do this.

Well if you don't have to get up for work, then whats the problem in following your biological clock? My neighbor next door does her best reading/work after midnite and sometimes stays up till 4a.m. She has no husband and lives alone and is retired so thats how she likes to live her life. No harm to anyone!

Same here some of the time. Maybe we just have a slightly off circadian rythm being more lucid at night.

Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome?

Though this is listed as a "disorder," if it works for you as others have said, then it's not necessarily something that needs to be "cured."

Aha! So it does have a tag. It works for me as long as I don't have to make an early appointment the next day.
