I go to sleep at midnight, give or take an hour, and usually wake up between 4 to 6 a.m., partly because my tinnitus is more noticeable in the peak hours of quiet. Then I eat breakfast and go through some early morning routines. After that, it's very easy for me to "take a nap" on the couch with the T.V. on, and wake up hours later, near noon. This routine works on days when I'm not busy, but if I have things to do and appointments to keep during the day, I can get tired running on only 4 to 6 hours of sleep during the night. The early bird may get the worm, but then he drops it out of his mouth on the way back to his couch.

I don't know why, but probably because I'm so tired after waking up before I've had a full night of sleep. I sleep on my side on the couch which helps me avoid any back pain.
