Hi there,
Last night I had a really odd dream in which I was visiting a male friend (I'm female). In the dream, he lived with another male friend who I used to have feelings for. I do not have feelings for these guys presently, and am in a relationship in waking life. Anyway, in the dream I must have been really close to the friend I was visiting, and I dozed off in his bed and when I came to, he told me we kissed. I became upset, because I thought of my boyfriend and I did not intend on cheating on him. Also, my purse or some other item I needed was in the other guy's room (the guy I *used* to like) and I couldn't get it out because he was sleeping and had the door shut.

Personally, I think this dream is about temporarily "getting what I need" since I'm presently far away from my boyfriend for a little while finishing a graduate degree. I will be back to where we both live in a few weeks, but it's been hard because we're in different time zones. Also, I have been talking to the friend from the dream more lately because he's been going through a rough time. Perhaps the friendly support I am getting from this person translated to something romantic in my subconscious? thoughts? thanks!

I didn't really see anything romantic in the dream; I think the kiss was just to "identify" or point to one or the other of two interchangeable guys?

You have a current situation that is in two, also. You are "here" and your boyfriend is "there". In the dream, the friend (who is also kind of like the pivot point?) is "here" and your ex-felt-for guy was "there" behind a closed door with your purse.

Wow, thanks for this insight. I didn't think about it that way- and it's good to know what purses symbolize for future reference. I'm so glad this board exists!
