I keep having these really nasty nightmares. They're the same ones over and over. I used to have them all the time and they stopped now they're back. They aren't just really dreams anymore. They are like images in my head now to because I've had them so many times. Why do you usually keep having the same nightmares over and over again?

I don't know, but I started having them this year. Same ones, basically, and then go on all night when I get them. Very vivid imagery, scary, painful.

I shared one with my husband yesterday and was shocked at how easily he read it. He's not into that sort of thing, and I am, and yet he 'got it' before me.

He said it's about me having issues about my parents giving me up to torture. That was insightful, but at 58 I still don't know how to feel OK about that. I feel like I've totally let it go after years of therapy--and I do mean years and years--and yet here are these dreams.

I'm going to mention them to my p doc when I see him at the end of the month. Maybe he can help by adjusting my meds.
