I've tried everything to get my sleep apnea treated. I've had the throat surgery, two sleep studies, three c-pap machines, that I used every day for a year and every type(mouth, nose pillow, and full face) and brand mask they make. I've tried sleeping with a pillow between my legs to keep me on my side. I've also tried the ball in the back of the shirt to do the same. There's probably a few other things i forgot. Now if the insurance company will pay, im going to try a oral appliance. If you don't know, it's like an athletic mouthguard that shifts your jaw forward so you can breathe better. There are different types. Do any of you use one? Have you had good luck with it? I
hear that over time, years, they can dislocate your jaw, or give you TMJ. Has anyone had that problem?
