My grandmother suffered from insomnia with her BP, that I have both as well. Great-grandmother, no diagnosis of anything else but was known to suffer from insomnia as well. It would not surprise me if it was a hereditary symptom, genetically passed. Either way, I still have to live with it to find ways to work with it and treat it. It can be really frustrating though. I hope you too have found some help with it.
