I got sick last night. I felt worse than awful. I was laughing one minute then all of a sudden felt nausea, couldn't do anything but yell for my husband. He brought me a cold rag. My forehead was hot but the rest was cold. Couldn't do anything but cry. This lasted from 9pm to midnight, then started feeling better but I am supposed to take lithium, ambien, and seroquel at bedtime but was afraid to so I didn't. I ended up sleeping less than an hour all night long! The medicine really knocks me out and I was afraid if I got sick again I might not wake up if I needed to. Was that the right choice?

The sickness might have had something to do with your meds; I don't know, if you only were crying, that I would have worried about that being a problem when sleeping? I might have called an "Ask a Nurse"/"Ask a Doctor" hot line (or online: http://www.justanswer.com/) and seen if a professional could help. Calling your doctor's office number, there might have been an "emergency" number too to call?
