while i was in the hospital i had a dream about a hotel on top of a mountain. then some old friend were with me. i know the names of them. well someone directs me to do something and i know instantly what to do before he even speaks. then we are driving a truck down the mountain. thats when i look to the right and i see my mother, but she isnt really there. shes there in spirit or somthing. next thing i know is i crash through the window and fly into a field of flowers

were you on any medications while you were in the hospital? my wife was given ambien one night when she was hospitalized and she had a nightmare about her room filling up with chicken nuggets and there not being enough dipping sauce to eat them all.

The appearance of the friends could either be simply that they were in the back of your mind when you fell asleep, or some traits of theirs that you relate to are needing your attention (as anyone in your dream is actually a reflection of yourself). Same goes for your mom.
