Hey guys/gals I have a problem I need advice on and how I should approach my doctor about it. Ok Well its 4 Am here I woke up at 3 and cant go back to sleep this doesn't happen to much but the big problem is that Im tired all the time and have to take naps during the day to feel decent. I recorded myself at night for interest to see what to say to my doctor and found that I do sleep talk, non sense but its funny, anyway I also move a lot and moan a lot and cough on occasion, not sure if moaning alot could mean anything but figure I would put up anything that may help. What should I do! Being tired all the time is driving me nuts and also makes me very unproductive. My doctor says its no the meds btw but he doesn't seem to understand how serious this is for me.

Talk to your regular doc about whether you need to go to a sleep study. My guess is not, and that you may just need a little sleep aid to push you through your clearly high REM cycle and into delta sleep (deep sleep). Typically when you sleep but don't feel rested it means your ratio between REM and deep sleep is skewed and needs brought back into balance. Also make sure your diet is balanced healthy, limiting fatty and sugary foods. If you're not normally active, try getting out and exercising during the day. The exertion of energy may force your body into getting the proper rest it needs.

Thanks for the advice. I was recomended to take a sleep study once because of this problem but they didnt give me any other info. I just am tired of being wore out, its not like im constantly tired just feel slugish and wore out. So i feel your right maybe some other medication to push me over that edge.
Thanks
