I just awoke from a terrifying "dream"... I'm wiccan, and I'll be 20 in september. I was under 2 blankets last night. And about a half an hour before I completely woke up, I fell into this half- conscious state- asleep, but conscious about the dream and unable to wake myself. In my "dream", something was torturing me. I say "something" because it kept shifting into different terrible entities. Some were from movies I've watched, others were real entities that have attacked me before, while I was fully conscious. Others were ones I had never seen before. Whatever it was, it was holding me down. I psychially could not do anythin but squirm; it had my arms pinned to my bed. It was scratching and biting at my shoulders and back and all I could do was whine and try to cry out. My girlfriend and I broke up yesterday, so so was not in the bed next to me to see it or wake me up. It went on for over 30 minutes. When I did wake, I was freezing cold, sweating, and crying... I don't know what to make of it... I'm scared.

Thanks for this!

I am not sure what the dream means either... you are having a stressful time it sounds like.. breaking up with a loved one is hard on people.

I know with myself I have had bad dreams where I was like, I am dreaming wake up, and then have trouble breathing in my dream which does effect my real life breathing- my S/O has woke me up or I have woke up gasping-- but I can't say much of afterwords besides reminding myself it was just a dream and if they really bother me, trying to interpret them (on line has a lot of things, and the most important thing to remember is -- what does something mean to you as well)... Or if you have a Therapist, you can talk to them about your dream...

Sometimes bad dreams as I call them, they make it where i can't fall back a sleep or the next time i am to go to sleep very hard or difficult-- i have to remind my self- dreams are good in ways for my brain to subconsciously interpret things from real life or in some cases accepts some times.

I've suffered through spiritual battles before, so please don't think I'm just writing the entities off. Just hear me out here

First, the being tortured/trapped/pinned sounds exactly like a case of sleep paralysis - the grey area when your mind wants to wake up but your body doesn't. What happens is your mind goes lucid (in to the waking state, while still connected to the subconscious sleeping mind). But since your body refuses to wake up, you lose the ability to control it. This creates the feeling like you are trapped...pinned...and then the subconscious fills the rest in.

Being Wiccan, and having claimed to be under attack from entities before, I am going to presume the entities you recognized from the other attacks are really there. I do not, however, believe they were the initial cause of the experience. Darker entities are drawn to fear like sharks are to blood in water. You were already afraid, and your subconscious mind was already trying to put a face on the cause of the torture (hence the movie characters). All the entities did was take advantage of an opportunity where you were vulnerable and open to an attack.

Brush the dream off as simple sleep paralysis, and cleanse and seal your house (and any outside yard if you have any). This will remove the power the entities have through your fear of the dream, and will force and keep them out.

I have reasearched sleep paralysis, and everything makes sence except that it was only my elbows/arms that were immobilized. The rest of my bodt was still able to move; I was squirming and whinning franticly. But I am interested to hear what you think, because of the wiccan connection. Blessed Be!

Okay, I can understand that as being not a technical case of sleep paralysis. So I'm going to offer an alternate variation as a "faux paralysis". Basically, your hands and arms fell asleep (something I deal with ALL the time myself when I'm sleeping...comes with having a big head/ego I guess :P). The sensation of numb hands and arms creates the dream image of being held down, much in the same way paralysis would create the sense of being sat on/trapped/etc. After that, the dominoes still fall in the same path, so to speak.

If you work with ANY form of divination ,you are opening a gateway to the spirit realm, and pretty much anyhtign can slip through if one isn't careful. Also, if the divination includes communicating with spirits a lot of people, Wiccans and even veteran wiccans included, neglect to consider the fact that on angels are bound to tell the truth. Spirits and (especially) demons can say whatever the heck they want, and they'll tell you what you want to hear if it gives them access to your world and your home.

I maintain that if this was strictly a spiritual attack the image of the entity wouldn't have shifted at all. That being said, along with what I've already suggested, I recommend getting rid of anything in the lines of divination you have in your home. That includes ouija boards, div stones, runes, and tarot cards.

I haven't started with divination persay; I have no physical aspects such as cards or runes. I would say I'm a bit sensitive, though, and there has also been a lot of stress in my life. I'm staying with a christian, and she wont let me bless the whole house, but do you have any suggestions for protection around my room/bed? More and more I'm begining to think it may have just been a form of sleep paralysis, but I'd still like to do some sort of protection, because of all the stress.

You can cleanse however you want in your bedroom. Use some sage, and line the perimiter and any window sills with salt (you'll have to redraw the door part of the salt line after you pass through). Considering you're sharing the house with a christian, I think the "hosue divided" rule is what is causing you to be under attack. Spirits that have tagged you before, as you made clear has happened, will continue to stalk you. Keep peace in the household to prevent them from being able to enter. According to Christianity, they should have no place in the house anyways, but your room is a weakness there (ALL spirits have to submit to the name of the Lord, but this rule doesn't apply to Wicca). If the house is headed by the Christian, ask her to pray protection and peace over the house. Doing so will show your respect for her beliefs while still opening things up for teamwork and peace within the home.
