My friend told me about his dreams, Well, nightmares. He told me that in the mightmares he see's me, or close friends, self-harming, or killing themselves, In some we try to persuade he to commit suicide. I've tried to help him, But he says they feel so real, and it really scares him, because he hates seeing his friends like that. I dont know what to do, Because I dont think i could cope without him. He has also been trying to cope with depression he has. I dont know how to help, or what to do. I think he also sees a counciller, but hasnt spoken about his dremas to them, just me and sam, another close friend. I was hoping some one might have some advice, as to trying to help, or what to do?
Thanks. |

First, you should let him know that death is never actually death...and all the people in his dream represent something he sees in himself (traits he sees in, let's say, you that he subconsciously acknowledges in himself). This is more like a dream about different parts of him telling him it's time to change.
If it's so bqad he can't face it...and if it keeps recurring...he should see a dr about getting on a sleep med. Something (other than ambien) that will basically keep him from dreaming.
