I have on occation had a dream with in a dream where I would wakeup thinking I was awake only to find out that i was still dreaming> has this happened to anyone and is there a name for it?

the other is that I will have a horrible nightmare that there are spiders and bees and snakes or other bugs crawling all over me and around me. they are very real. I can not only see them but i can feel them and hear them and smell things too. when I am wakeing up and then awake thry are still there and i just about go crazy trying to get them off em and my bed. It takes me a good 5 min. or so to calm down enough to where I can even think about lieing back down to go to sleep. any one eles ever have this and is there a name for it?

dreamception???

haha actually i don't know what is this called, but I know what you mean. I usually just say i had a "dream within a dream". To me, they are really the worst. So anguishing that just thinking about it I cannot breathe. You feel so stuck and powerless. =/
Thanks for this!

I've never had the second one but I've had the first one before, it's a really strange feeling for sure because when you actually wake up you're like "ok am I sure this time?."
Strangely I've never had since seeing the film Inception lol.

I will get that waking up from a dream in dream thing a fair amount. I'm not sure what it called. The second thing you describe I've never gotten, but it sounds like a form a sleep paralysis. With sleep paralysis you are awake but still dreaming, and usually you can't move when this happens, but not always.
Thanks for this!

^^^Yes, I gathered that, but I really sounds like you're not waking up all the way. Note above I did say "usually." ^^^

If these things are happening frequently/on a regular basis, you should consider seeing a sleep specialist.

I've had the first thing happen to me multiple times. I'm not sure about the second thing, but it sounds scary.

I have had a dream within a dream before--not sure if there's a name for it or not. I had antoher dream where I was brutally attacked and when I woke up, it took me almost an hour to realize that it was just a dream.

Some things must be really Bugging you in real life. Identify them and make a list. Then exterminate them one at a time!
