My boyfriend committed suicide 8 months ago very unexpectedly, leaving no note. Our relationship had been rocky during the months leading up to his suicide, but we had recently reconciled. I have had several dreams about him, but one theme is recurring in most of them. In these dreams, we are together and I realize that he is not supposed to be there. However, there is some sort of understanding that it was all a ruse or a joke, that it didn't actually happen. Other characters in my dreams cannot see him and don't acknowledge his presence. What does this mean? Have I not really accepted his death like I thought I had?

You are in the process of accepting his death. You know he is gone.
