I had this nightmare last night about my son who is 8 being abducted, i woke up to the sound of my own voice screaming his name,it must of being loud because my dogs were jumping all over me, i seen them taking him away and i could'nt do any thing about it . i felt so helpless...... i could not get back to sleep after that , i just went into to my son and cuddled him and cried my self to sleep i guess, please help if you can what do you think this means?

Who was it, that was taking him away? Please give more details.

Thanks Thunder Bow, it is a bit vague now but it was dark and there were some big kids , just hanging about where i live, and i was some where up the road doing something or other, and my boy just walked nearer and nearer toward them, then they just got hold of him ,walking really fast away , not running, i could see him looking back at me, not crying or shouting for me just looking, and i was just screaming his name, but I could not move from where i was standing, then i woke up......
i still think of it and it sends shivers down my spine .

A fear of your son growing up? What kind of connection you now have with your son? Do you fear you are going to lose that connection when he gets older?

This also could be that you lost a part of yourself that was like your son at 8yo.
