anyone know of a book with some scientific or empirical bases about dream interpretations? we spend so much time dreaming that its fascinating the low level of importance we give to their meanings.

Dream interpretation books are a good place to start, but with dream analysis I think it's important to examine what the symbols mean to you personally and especially in the context of whatever is going on in your life.
