The dream I had last night was BY FAR one of the strangest dreams I have ever had. In the dream I was involved in some sort of cult....the leader of this cult was....get this...Shorty, from pit boss!! WTF? ....and it gets even stranger. He was making us all commit suicide. We were all going to walmart (again, wtf) and he was going to fill the store with some sort of toxic gas that would eventually kills us all, but we knew about it and were doing it voluntarily. I told him I wasn't going to do it, and eventually escaped. All hell broke loose and eventually the *walmart cult people* did breath in the gas, and Die. Except Shorty...he faked everyone out and snuck out the back door.
It sounds completely goofy, but I was seriously terrified in the dream. And I woke up with a pounding heart, covered in sweat.

Sooooo where on god's good earth could that have possibly come from???

Apparently, just think of what things in your life relates to: 1. rigid thinking and persistent 2. repeat same message 3. no room for disagreement.

These may be related to 1. deluding self not questioning things 2. who can see only one view 3. has someone been trying drum the message into you.

Looks like you did question things, saw more than one view, was not fooled.

You get the idea. It is like a murder mystery, in that, you have to investigate things in your life that stimulated these symbols and themes.

At least, that's the most obvious interpretation I can see. Since I don't know all the details of your life, you have try to finish the puzzle.

Before TV and the Internet, etc. there use to be common people in dreams, based on one's time and place and society but now, it's a whole lot more complicated. Don't know what Shorty could mean to you, could just be you feel you are "coming up short" on something. I know I am still puzzled about my dream about Elton John 20+ years ago and his lending me a pair of white glasses that matched my cow outfit and later used a machine gun to take down a fence

I'd look at the various symbols and see if I could find personal meanings in them; do you shop at Walmart, like/dislike Walmart, maybe you are in the market for "walls" (if you feel you are coming up short :-) to protect you or hide behind?

There are all sorts of plays on words possible and that is generally what our dreams/unconscious goes in for but what ones might be meaningful to you, is hard to tell. For all we know you could have been reading or thinking about the Nazi's at some point and gotten to poisonous gas now, that way, maybe have been wishing to get rid of everything that bothers you at once, wipe out a certain "type" of people who bother you, don't know.

That you stood up and said you would not do it, says a lot good about your character perhaps; and that Shorty got away, that whatever the problem is you are trying to help yourself with, might be elusive and not easily solved with one, get-rid-of-everything-at-once approach.

But we don't know you well enough to know your symbols; you could have gotten from "Miss Strawberry Shortcake" to Shorty, for all we know, they are kind of opposites? Maybe you have an opposite thing going. Or maybe it is about being in the "Pit" of despair.

Actually, a LOT of what you said really resonates with me!! Almost perfectly fits my current situation...I just didn't think of it that way...thank you!
