My most memorable, cinematic, & often lucid dreams have to do with some type of illicit partnership. Either being abducted/enslaved/conspired against by a duo [always male & female], much like Mickey & Mallory from 'Natural Born Killers'. Or being a part of said partnership, usually as the dominant partner.

I know that what I do AS a partner in crime has a lot to do with suppressed urges in my waking life & it's an attempt to live them out, but I just can't seem to find any proper interpretation in ANY of my dream books or on any website. So any assistance is greatly appreciated!

Post a specific dream you remember well. Also tell how you felt as this unfolds around you. ?? That would help.

Thank god I have a dream journal! I'll post an abridged version of the dream, as it's two pages long, front & back. But it's one of the most memorable dreams I have had.

The dream started that my Mum recovered from her drug addiction/bipolar [which is not even close to representative of real life], but while we were driving around together, there was a homeless man trying to cross the road. We stopped & waited for him, but before I could warn my Mum, he stood up straight & pulled a gun out of his trenchcoat & shot her in the chest. As I was trying to run away, he got me with a crowbar & I passed out.

I woke up in a beautiful house, chained down to the couch, & struggled a bit trying to get out. There were motion detecting cameras that covered every inch of the house. Bars in the windows. And starving, flesh-eating dogs guarding the gate outside. Soon I saw the man who shot my Mum & his girlfriend [she looked like Marla Singer from Fight Club] & they basically told me that they were my new family. I'd never see anyone I used to know ever again. And if I tried to escape, he would "provide me tortures far beyond the imagination of any serial killer... That is, if the dogs don't get to you first." While he was doing this, he was acting very sexual with me.

I flashed forward over a period of months of living there -- the first few months where I'd cook/clean/do laundry/bathe them & keep looking for clever ways to leave. They'd beat me mercilessly if I did a chore wrong or even if they were bored. But over time, they started to treat me a little better since I started doing the chores better & I held onto how good that made me feel. And I already lost hope of ever escaping, so I figured I should learn to enjoy it.

But one day, I picked up a delivery of the military provisions they always ordered [freezer-dried food, canned oods, etc.] & I noticed something odd. It was abnormally quiet. The dogs weren't there anymore -- there was no traces of them ever existing. The bars on the windows weren't there anymore. I go unpack the box & I notice the panels behind the pantry were loose, so I took them out & saw a security room behind it. And I noticed that the cameras were no longer motion-sensitive & most of them weren't even on anymore.

He almost catches me sneaking around but I put it back just as the man comes in to check what this shipment included. He pulled a big bottle of whiskey [another big dream theme of mine] from the fridge & decides to celebrate.

They chain me down to the floor, which they hadn't done in months, & got drunk together. They'd pull my hair & pour whiskey on my face. They went upstairs to have sex & hadn't come back down for hours. Thankfully the chains were loose & I sneak upstairs to investigate. They were out cold! So I destroy their recording equipment [so they can't see which direction I escaped] & then fled down the road until a car picked me up.

Fast forward to a few months later, my friends & family were in a pub & we're all celebrating my return. As well as the recovery of my Mum from her lung reconstruction surgery from the gunshot. She's paraplegic, but alive. I look out the window & see the man looking through the window. I excuse myself to everyone, saying I need to go smoke a cigarette [I don't smoke IRL].

When I go outside, I discover I've transformed into Dexter Morgan. They come up to me begging, pleading with me to come back, saying that life has been empty without me there for them. When I declined, the man started to threaten me & the girl pulled out a knife. I convinced the man to follow me behind a fish-packing factory, then I scalp him while he's still alive & throw him into a meat separating machine. When I go back to the woman, she looks hopeful until I place his scalp on her head & slit her throat in the middle of the road.

Keep up the journal and post other interesting dreams here. You seem to be creative and are doing well.
