Hello. It has been quite a while since posting here. I have been doing some work w/ my t and tonight we had a conversation about dreams. I have dreams but I am visited in my dreams by people who have passed or who are going to pass in the very near future. These people (who I know) have a message for me to give to someone else. Ex. My grandma passed and she had a message for me to give to old friends of hers. As it turns out these friends of hers had just been talking about her and were wondering something. They were surprised to have the answer and even more surprised by where the answer came from.

another example: a friend of mine committed suicide and he came to me in a dream and told me to tell his mom not to worry he was driving a pink Cadillac where he was now. (heaven or in between I presume) that didn't mean much to me but it mint something to his mom.

one last example: a guy I remember well from kindergarten who was nice to me came to me in a dream. I had not seen him in 30 years. I was making small talk w. my H and told him "You know I wonder what my old friend "Arden" looks like now. I saw someone in a dream and I know it was him we talked. I don't know why I thought of him last night" within the next week I had multiple dreams about him and how he looked. I had not seen him since he was 4 yrs old. At the end of the week I saw his picture in the obituary, it looked just like what I had dreamed, even more strange he had no living relatives in the area and it was odd that he was in our local obituaries in our community. It only stated that he went to school here for 2 years. K and 1 st grade. And that it had made a lasting impression on him. before it went on to tell other aspects of his life.

I feel like I am crazy sometimes, all I need is for the T to think that to. Is there a name for an individual who has this type of gift.

I think our minds naturally want to make a connection with people, expecially people that made us feel good in the past. I'm a bit of a skeptic and don't put much faith in the unknown or miraculous. I am glad you feel it is a gift and it gives you a connection to people you care about in the past. Sometimes it is the small things like this that can make life more pleasant. I don't think you are crazy for having dream like this, I think it is your mind's way of feeling connected to people you care about that aren't part of your life.

It's truly a gift. Very wonderful, I think.I have dreams similar to what you have, only they occur if my sleep patterns are normal. not often however. when they do happen it definitely affects me, things happen for a reason. I believe we have a sixth sense perhaps this might be part of that.

Adam. Thunder Bow, and Chile, thank you so much for your input. It is just an odd thing that happens. Just curious if it is a 6 th since kinda thing, or my personal way of connecting. I don't know, just kinda one of those mysterious things.

I would take it as a blessing if it makes you feel good. I don't think you have to label it or even maybe know what it truly means. It is a sense of joy that comes internally for you that you get to experience.

I don't have normal dreams. My dreams are usually wierd and I don't know what they mean or if they mean anything. I think it is my mind just decompressing.

((((Mama)))) you are not alone. I do believe you have a gift. It is startling or unsettling at times when this happens, but I like to think it is because we are more relaxed, receptive, open to receiving info. This usually happens for me when I am more at peace in my surroundings ... but sometimes it comes out of the blue and I have no idea why. I just try to accept this is part of me. My great aunts had the same thing so it helped when my uncle shared that with me.

My stepsister saw her/our grandmother after she died and she sat on the end of my sister's bed in the dream and she told her she was fine and was just all her usual self and loving, etc. so my stepsister was much better about her death when she woke and knew everything was okay.
