I want to know if I'm not alone. When I try to sleep, I hear voices but if it's as someone was talking. what is said can be random. Then, I can sometimes see faces. When I tried to sleep today, I saw a face of a woman. She had blonde hair and then she disappeared. This is what usually happens before I try to sleep. Sometimes, it makes me jump. Sometimes, they are just a white outline or they can have colour in them. has anyone else had this before?

I've had something similar. When I was a child I would shut my eyes and see all kinds of random objects coming towards me in the darkness from a star field. I outgrew it. Not sure that helps.
I've also "heard" voices when trying to go to sleep. Not actually heard aurally but more like from inside. Voices I didn't recognize... saying things that didn't pertain to me or involve me in any way. Usually happened in times of great stress or anxiety or exhaustion.
I think it's just random phenomena... try not to let it bother you.

This is entirely normal. It's called being in a hypnagogic state and usually happens when you're very tired. Often you'll hear voices of people you've heard throughout the day, see flashes of dream like images which can seem like hallucinations because you're still awake and sometimes see geometric patterns etc. I also sometimes hear blasts of music.

Voices are definitely the most prominent thing for me. I work in an office with lots of loud talkers and sometimes before sleeping will hear all sorts of random nonsense spoken by those prominent voices from my day. Do you perhaps see a lot of faces in the day, are you face to face with lots of people or watch TV shows with multiple faces. It's just the brain processing all that information and trying to make sense of it.

It can be quite scary though and for a long time I didn't know what it was. Turns out it's just the brain doing it's thing. It's amazing how the unconscious mind takes over when we're asleep or entering that state.
Thanks for this!

I have the same thing happen to me. I don't know what it is. I think it might be spirits trying to communicate with me sometimes. Also, I have visions right as I first wake up before I open my eyes, and I'm not asleep, I am awake. And you're right about things being random. I hear and see really random things and people. The other day though, I had something happen that made me think it might really be spirits. I was awakened by my bed being shaken hard and something shook me and I could still feel it shaking me as I woke up, and then the covers were lifted off my legs and onto the foot of the bed. My cat refused to come up on the bed with me for over an hour after that.

I think it can be spirits as well. I'm a spiritual person and I believe these things. Oh my goodness, I'm sorry to hear that happened to you. I've been "attacked" in my sleep. Someone was trying to pull the covers off me (It felt so real) and I heard my mum's voice but it wasn't her and it sounded evil, really evil. Then I said "God" and it stopped. If I'm scared, I usually pray in my head. I say God please help or protect me.

You fell asleep and dreamed them with out knowing it. Images in a pre-sleep state. The Paranormal not likely in your case.

When this is a spiritual encounter there are certain things that will give it away. First, and most important, is that the images and voices are never random, and are 9 times out of 10 clear enough to be more than just voices. If the spirits are putting out enough energy to communicate, why would it go to waste with random images and muffled voices?
