From a child until my mid 20s I used to have dreams about...

TRIGGER
...being chased by people or some type of creature that is trying to kill me. All under different and bazar contexts. The they would always catch me in the dream and kill me in the most horrific of ways. Sometimes they could catch me and kill me more then once. Sometimes I would be more then one character in a dream and I would be the character who was running and the character chasing. So I would end up killing myself.
END OF TRIGGER

Last night I dreamt that I was being chased by one person who wanted to shoot me because I knew a secret. I tried to lose them by running to different places and finding different accommodation to stay in secretly (such as hotels and council flats). It was very stressful trying to be on my guard all the time. I had some help from strangers and I think I sometimes had companions on my journey. Wherever I hid the person would find me and I would have to escape and run, catch a train or something and find a new place to hide. I think by the end of the dream there were about three people chasing me. Though it came close sometimes, I wasn't killed.

You are not intergrated within. You have not come together inside your self. Parts of yourself are not in harmony. Take 970mg. of "Avatar" to correct this condition. The Movie "Avatar" is a good movie about self intergration.

Get to know who you are, work on knowing yourself, through and true.

:P

This is something more than simply being disassociated from yourself. This is about secrets...or rather, the truth. These darker parts of you are rising against you. Effectively, your personality is in a psychological civil war. Your shadow self is the part that you don't like. And I'm pretty sure in this scenario there's been a facade put in place. Some way you've kept it a secret. But your darker side has grown accustomed to the mask, and wants it in place, even though this other part of you wants to be free of the lies. Carl Jung said it best though. When you face your shadow self, the ultimate goal should be acceptance and assimilation. Ask yourself what about these characters reflects things in yourself you don't like. Ask yourself why you're these ways and what makes you uncomfortable about them. Once you can address these points and move forward, accept the darker characters as parts of you - like you would accept a crazy relative as still part of the family. Once you can embrace them, you can lose the facade all together.

Thanks so much. My dream is about the truth. Instead of running away I have to face it. You hit the nail on the head. I don't know why I never understood it before.
I have allot of work to do. How can I ever find myself if I can't accept myself.
Thank you.

I have dreams about being chased all the time. I was molested when I was a kid and often tried to run away. There could be something that has to do w the past as well. I usually remember the dreams that make me remember my past.

I believe, since they are our dreams our unconscious is making up, that we are all the characters in the dream. It sounds like you are trying to run from something in yourself and believe/wish it did not exist; someone told you quite young it was bad/wrong and you've been trying to eradicate it ever since.

I would work on self esteem, maybe try some therapy, see if I could "help" myself. It sounds like you are taking longer to "find"/kill what you see as bad? I would write out my dreams and then rewrite them like stories; I'd decide what the secret is, why I was being dismembered, say, instead of merely hanged or shot, etc. I'd take apart all the symbols, see why the council flats are in there, where the train was going, etc.

If you pay attention to dreams, let your unconscious know you are trying to understand, it doesn't have to work so hard to get your attention.
