Quick Intro:

I used to get many vivid dreams (no as regularly anymore) of these dreams a handful have seemingly “come true”. Now I am not saying I can predict the future or anything, or even that these dreams did actually “come true” because certain aspects of them differ from the dream in reality (apart from one which happened like an exact re-enactment). Anyway, if anyone has any similar accounts and/or theories as to why these events happen I would be happy to hear them. I have thought them over time and time again and am still mystified by their meaning.

Dream 1:

When I was around 8-10 years old I had a recurring dream that was set within shopping area of the city I live in. I was in a large department store (or small mall/shopping centre) which did not exist at the time of my dreams. All the windows were large glass panels, out of which I could see a blurred view of the “real” shopping mall across the road which actually did (and still does) exist at the time of my dreams (and was geographically in the correct plavce within my city. In my dream, I would start off on a higher floor of this glass walled building and try to find my way down and out of the building. A few times I would reach the ground floor go outside and wait for the pedestrian crossings on the (empty) street to allow me to cross. Every time it would show red, thus not allowing me to cross and I would wake up. The one time I made it downstairs and the pedestrian crossing changed to green was the last time I had this dream.

Then, some 8-9 years later (in late 90’s) a development started across the road, opposite to the “real” mall described above. As the concrete and steel frame was erected it immediately brought the memories of the dream flooding back. When completed the multi floor department store (which is a TK Max BTW) bore a massive resemblance to the store I was trapped in all those years ago in my dream. With the large floor to ceiling windows and huge frosted glass panels covering the upper floors. Not only this but a new pedestrian crossing (allowing people to cross over to the store) was installed near the entrance of the store.

Is it just a coincidence that the mostly glass building in my dreams is an almost exact replica (including geographically) to the one that was built years later. And even if it is no coincidence, why am I dreaming about a future TK Max build (lol) it makes me laugh when I think about it but at the same time it is a very strange feeling when I think about it.

Dream 2:

When I was about the same age as the dreams above (8-9yrs) I had another recurring dream in which I would be called for dinner by my mom only to be chased downstairs by a yellow cat that would come down from the attic and out of the attic door we had. In this recurring dream I would be ware that this cat would be waiting when I was shouted for dinner so sometimes in dreams I would build ropes to swing down the stairs to enable me to outpace this nightmarish cat which would run after me. Anything I added to the environment (like a rope) would still be there the next time I had the dream.

Years later I had to move back into my parents house after a split with my g/f. I moved into there recently converted attic room with (you guessed it) the new cat that I had acquired through my ex g/f. My cat practically lived up there with me and only went downstairs when I would (usually for food) otherwise he would be up there constantly. Again, maybe a massive coincidence, or maybe not. Coupled with the fact that once again it is a recurring dream which bore some truth in the future is certainly fascinating to me and sometimes when my cat followed me down the stairs to get his food (like I did to get mine in the dream) my mind raced at the possibilities of what was happening.

Dream 3:

OK this is the most convincing to me as everything that happened in my dream happened in an exact replica in real life. Not only this, but fortunately I told my close friend (whose house the dream was set in) about the dream BEFORE it happened in real life, thus giving a massive amount of personal validity in what was happening as someone else shared the strangeness with me.

Anyway, in the dream (which happened in my mid teens) I was at my friends house playing a computer game. A mutual friend came over and challenged me to a game on this computer. Anyway it was a game which I expected to lose, but when we started I was winning all the time, every game I would win. Eventually our mutual friend stood up and said something to the effect of “I need to go home and get my controller, then I will win” He went home, came back with his controller and started beating me, from then on I couldn’t win.

When I awoke and saw my friend whose house the dream was set in, I told him about it; as it was about a friend we rarely saw, and it involved video games. Sometime after I told him our mutual friend turned up at his house and the exact sequence of events from my dream unfolded in real life. I couldn’t believe what was happening by the time I realised (after he returned with his stick and beat me) Later, after he left I reminded my friend that I had told him about the dream at which point his expression dropped in disbelief, to me it really is unexplainable as to why and how this insignificant event in my life would be foreseen before it happened. If anyone can shine an light on this at all would be appreciated.

Thanks For reading

Old dreams are water under the bridge. What do they mean to you now? How do they connect to your present day dreams?

Hey thanks for taking time to reply, but it seems you did not even read the post fully. They have no attachment to present dreams, rather they "came true" in real life at a later date.

Dreams often mirror how you are feeling in real life. Thus what you experienced is perfectly normal. Thus real life some times can match your dreams perfectly.

Have you considered that like a woman's perfume or a man's aftershave, scents {pheromones}left dangling in the air can be experienced by others long after the person wearing that cologne or scent is gone? If {according to Heisenberg's Copenhagen model}, quanta from someone else's dreams or memories are left behind after they have left the scene, a brain could perhaps be awash in this free-form quanta and in response employ these quanta as building blocks? I only mention Heisenberg because the mathematics of quantum physics open vistas to new and different understanding.

How does an adroitness with some skill or some emergent talent express when there's no logical or historically discoverable genesis which can be identified as the precursor to these undiscovered talents or skills?

What are the dynamics at work when a group of people become agitated or upset at a meeting or a sporting event and crowds begin to resonate with that emotional condition? Mob-mentality may be associated with proximity to someone transmitting their displeasure or delight...
