Last night I had a dream that began with me being at a large camp, but I wasn’t part of the camp as a camper or counselor. The camp was at or near a large dinosaur park, a little like Jurassic park and a regular zoo combined. There were no t-rex's from what I could see, only 'long necks' or Brachiosaurus’ (at least that's what I think they were). At one point I was looking at a particular enclosure and a very old dinosaur came out that everyone got very excited over because an announcer said it was rare because it had a purple back and back legs...while the rest were normally green and blackish colored. In the middle of the park was a sort’ve rest area with grass and trees. I left the exhibits and at the tree area I met an older man, and though I recognized him in the dream I cannot remember who he is now. I get the impression that he was older, grandfather-ish (but I know for a fact that he was not one of my grandfathers) and wearing an outfit that looked like a little like what a safari explorer would wear. We were with some other people who I think may have been a couple friends in real life. We were exploring the trees, and I was looking at a particular tree which I at first thought was a solid tree. Upon closer inspection I realized that there was a hole in the tree with a mirror that reflected the tree’s trunk to make it look solid, when it was actually hollow. I and the older man talked about this and thought it was really strange, and then we all climbed inside and discovered wooden stairs carved into the tree that went up the inside, and eventually once you reached the top you would step out of the tree onto an open area, like on top of a tower. We spent some time up there, but then my mouth started feeling funny. It was like I could feel a couple of my teeth come loose. I hurried back out of the tree and ran to the camp buildings. In the building I entered I ran around, trying to find someone. There were statues of dinosaurs everywhere and people walking around. My teeth became more and more loose, and three of them actually fell out and I could feel them in my mouth. I stopped and talked to a man who I want to say was my dad, but I can’t remember exactly of course. I finally entered a large main room that had three doors into other rooms. I kept opening the doors in order to find something or someone, I can’t remember who or what. One room had a lot of younger kids and a few camp counselors all talking and wearing green shirts. One room had no people inside, but the floor was covered in neatly folded blue shirts that all had painted black and white striped letters on them. I couldn't read what they said, but I think they were names. I tried walking into the room, but I was being really careful not to step on the shirts. It was impossible to go more than a few steps without almost stepping on a shirt, so I left the room and closed the door and then went to the remaining door. I opened it and found the room to be completely empty, so I went inside and shut myself in and knelt on the floor and felt my teeth. All of them were extremely loose and barely hanging on and beginning to fall out, and I had swallowed one of the three teeth that had already fallen out previously. I woke up after I pressed a finger against my gums in a place that a tooth had fallen out of.
I have had quite a few dreams in the past about loosing teeth, though I've never had a dream involving dinosaurs or hollow trees. And none of the dreams about loosing teeth are ever detailed or lengthy enough for me to remember so much about them. Anyone care to interpret? |

A dream of personal growth and letting go of teeth. The dinosaurs are now relics of your past. The journey through the tree is of your own growth, and thus the loss of the teeth. The teeth could mean of a loss of an old way of speaking, and loss of baby teeth,

[As your dream is very long I will just comment on a few of the main images.]
The Jurassic-like park suggests that you have brought back to life a feeling that should have died out a long time ago. The dinosaurs represent an aspect of your own emotional nature which has not evolved – suggesting a feeling or idea carried on from childhood. This feeling may not appear dangerous to you (no t-rex’s) but may involve emotionally sticking your neck out – taking a risk. (long necked Brachiosaurus’) What you might get excited about is the return of a feeling or idea from childhood that seems above reproach and gives a feeling of quality. (purple) This feeling or idea stands on principles of the past reflecting quality. (hind legs purple) The hollow tree represents a form of knowledge in which there is a flaw (a hole). Using some illusion (with a mirror) this knowledge appears solid or sound. It presents the form of solid knowledge while not having the substance. The hollowed out tree might specifically suggest “hallowed” or sacred knowledge. The idea of being in a gaining situation by using this knowledge has been created by this knowledge itself. (wooden stairs carved into the tree) By persisting with this knowledge it seems to lead you to a very idealistic position (like on top of a tower). The tower impression can strongly suggest having ideals or theories which have no practical application in the real world. The teeth: By spending too much time with this idealist mental attitude acquired by using knowledge of little substance (we spent some time up there) you begin to perceive some insecurity about your ability to chew and process food for thought (teeth get loose). The loose teeth create a lack of confidence regarding the intelligence you possess. By the teeth falling out you are actually suffering a loss to your intelligence (which is represented by teeth) [The old saying is that if you don’t use it, you lose it. Providing yourself with knowledge that has “no meat to it” will not help you retain nor increase your intelligence. (As your teeth are not actually coming out of your mouth in the scene, the scene would not pertain to words being spoken.) The focus here is upon the kind of knowledge you are using. Swallowing a tooth indicates that your intelligence is itself becoming your food for thought – a matter to think about or become concerned about. |
