I was talking to my psych doc about my sleep...mainly my inability at times to fall asleep despite being so physically tired to the point of staggering, running into walls etc

He asked me, have you ever been abused in your sleep? Slack jawed, I muttered yes, happened when I was asleep.

He went on to explain hyper vigilance which apparently causes the rapt mind/dead tired body concept.

I should add that previously, I'd been given Seroquel for sleep, but stopped because it gave me ultra vivid dreams. His explanation was that the drug allowed me to sink into REM sleep, allowing my emotions free reign and out into dream world. WTH ???!!!

Now I am NOT on Seroquel anymore, have the prescription but can't take it as it's contraindicated to Geodon...and is wondering, what are my options. Intensive therapy at this time over the abuse issue is not an option. I am feeling too good to go there.
