I haven't really had a good nights sleep in a few months. Ever since I changed my meds, I twitch ALOT when I'm just falling asleep. Before I was put on meds, I would have the occasional jerk that would wake me up but this is every single night and it happens almost every time I am almost asleep. My doctor says it's not because of my medicine but what else could it be? Anyone know any ways to ease this up a bit?

Actually, it could be your meds. This happened to a friend of mine. He was taking too much salt based meds and the dr gave him lithium which put him over the edge. That led to research and we discovered twitching, spasms like you are describing are common enough that your dr should know better. The way to ease it up is to reduce whatever med is causing it.
Thanks for this!

The pre sleep twitch is normal. But as Michanne said meds can also influence them.

Dear poster,

Twitching right before sleep IS common just before sleep for some people.
Meds can cause this or it can be a condition and there are meds to calm this.
I was very jerky legged and it is scary as well as frustrating.
Talk with your dr. or/and get 2nd opinion about your meds.

Be well, and welcome to PC
