Hi,

the last 2 nights I have had dreams with different scenarios where I end up stabbing people. One of them was quite graphic It's very upsetting. Usually in a bad dream I wake up before something so bad happens but now my dreams are getting worse.

What does stabbing someone represent?

In one dream I stabbed an intruder that broke into my childhood home while my family were sleeping. I stabbed and killed him. My other dream, a group of girls wanted to act out a murder that already happened as me as the victim unless I went into this random shop and stabbed other people. I went into the shop and knew my life was at risk so just stabbed the people in the shop in places that wouldn't kill them. Like I said, it's all very graphic and in my dreams I am terrified

What does it all mean?

Could you stabbing be a representation on the pain YOU feel. And an attempt to take action on YOUR pain.

In the first dream you dreampt an intruder broke into your home and you stabbed him. to me that is actually representative of trying to protect yourself. In real life are you needing to protect yourself form something and struggling with how to do that. Are you by any chance trying to protect someone else from something.

I am a survivor of CSA (child sexual abuse) and this is not an uncommon dream. It is the minds way of trying to encourage the bad things that impact your thoughts to go away. I don't know if this an issue you have, it is just one I have.

The second dream to me follows the same lines as the above description. Your brain is working protecting itself by harming the things that are damaging to you. So these dreams might be bad and violent. They sound like an attempt for the brain to deal with stuff and work it out. Do you have a T you could talk to this about.

I could be totally off about this though. It depends on what you have been dealing with lately.
Thanks for this!
