I was wondering if anyone could tell me the meaning of a strange occurrence in many of my dreams...

It's never the same place, but it's the same situation... the setting of my dream is inside a very large building. So large there are houses, streets, many other people living within it, as if it were normal. It never bothers me in the dream, but it's a strange thing to recall in the waking world. Sometimes, all the settings are intertwined, for example the street ends with a ladder that leads into normal looking houses that all happen to lead into each other.

I've found such a setting in a horror manga (Japanese horror comic) a few years into the dream. I believe it meant an issue with privacy in the story, but I don't feel the same for my dreams. (Yes, I am prone to reading/watching supernatural/horror/etc. things, they hardly influence my dreams- but I often find things I've felt/ thought I've seen/ dreamed up in such things pre-experiencing the subject matter, that is why I delve into this genre, it makes me feel safe that someone else could think up the same things... but I digress)
Does anyone know what it means? Any guesses? Has anyone had dreams similar to this one? I've very interested in hearing back from you! Thank you.
