The Lion is you. You are aware that you have it's powers.

I had dreams of being a tiger a few times, and to put it lightly...wrecking shop on some people that hurt me in real life. Are you holding back violent emotions? Do you feel uncomfortable expressing pent-up frustrations in real life? This was the case for me. I think dreaming of big cats can be a sign that we are holding onto too much aggression that needs to be unleashed.

You mentioned something about having emotions buried inside you and being aggressive in a later post.

Riding the lion is the interesting part of this group of dreams. On the one hand, riding the lion might suggest controlling or mastering aggressive instincts. On the other hand, that image may also suggest the proverb "He who rides the tiger is afraid to dismount," with the lion that does live in your part of the world replacing the tiger that doesn't live there; are you afraid of what might happen if you lose control over your emotions or aggression?

Riding the Lion in this dream is not about controlling it, or any feeling. It is more about going with the lion to see where this part of one self can take you in life.
