Sometimes I'll have a dream about an acquaintance or friend crying, usually it is something unknown or I know what it is but it is either something small or something I really can't help solve and usually my friend is crying so hard that he or she is unable to speak or even try to form words. I usually wind up comforting the person by hugging them and try to talk to them but it always ends at that, never ends with the problem being solved. Wondered what this kind of dream meant.

Could be that you are feeling helpless .. it could have nothing to do with the friend... you could just be feeling hopeless when you fall asleep... I sometimes wonder if dreams really mean anything. I have too many weird dreams as it is. I lose track. Hope this helped some if not sorry..

You are caring for your self in these dreams, regardless if there is a solution.
