So just before the alarm went off, I was dreaming that I was a sort of assistant to Carol Burnett (I know, right?)...she was wearing entirely too much make up; she had this little fuzzy dog with her, brown and white with tipped over ears like a collie. Really cute, and I gather I was supposed to be watching it for her.

She was on a game show (a celebrity thing) on the order of Family Feud and was totally messed up...not drunk, but freaking out because she couldn't think of any words or phrases to help the other contestants on her team. She flipped out and I followed her, with her little dog, to the 'green room'...she was crying and angry and the producers comes in and she shrieks "...and the kid didn't even take my dog out like he said he would!!" The producer blinks and walks out.

Now she's totally in melt-down stage...saying she didn't know the answers, they didn't prepare her...and worse, "I just got that poor kid fired!"

I tell her that's not true, I'm sure it'll be okay and suggest we go for a walk, to calm her down. She agrees, and follows me out to a little park--quite pretty and green...she's still upset and as the little dog runs ahead on the 'extendo leash' (which I never use btw...) I try to calm her and tell her not to worry about the 'kid', I'm sure he won't get in trouble, because he didn't walk her dog. In fact, the only people who will walk a dog are in NY city and they're doormen. (seriously? they do not, but sounded good when I told her)

She seemed to calm for a moment and suddenly I look down and realize the entire park is covered in fresh dog poo....little dog poo. And I say, 'geeze San Franscico is so picky, you'd think the people would dispose of their dogs poo!' as I gingerly pick my way out of the grass.

The alarm went off. Yes, those are the kinds of dreams I have....all the time and always have...in color, with aromas even. I laugh when I hear the ads for meds that can 'possibly cause vivid dreams'.....more vivid than that????

(and yes, I know I managed to insult two different cities on both sides of the country. And a celebrity, who I really like...but hey, I went easy on the dog. Really, really cute dog!)

In this dream, all that went on was just so much dog poop. All the uproar and antics was just so much dog poop. If this kind of thing happened recently, in real life. Your mind knows that it was all just so much dog poop.
