I am intrigued but insure if they help long term. It's a sleep app with an akarm that won't wake you up in deep sleep. It also charts sleep patterns. It's looks great, and was wondering if apps like this can improve life at all by pointing out trends? Thanks.

A few times I have used a YouTube video of a calm sound (such as a rain-forest sound) which goes on for hours and I have had mixed results with it.

You can buy inexpensive clock radios that will play a variety of user selected sounds....ocean surf, rain forest, etc....and then turn off after 30, 60, 90 minutes. They do an ok job of masking background noise, if it isn't too loud, which sometimes can help you to fall asleep.
Thanks for this!

Great input, but the app I'm talking about is a smartphone app, and I'm just wondering if it's worth the $1.99 they want for it. (Or the battery drainage). It claims to use bed movements to tell if you're sleeping deeply or are in rem sleep.
