A friend has many dreams of death. In her dreams she is always getting chased, shot, stabbed, etc
I'm not a big believer in dream symbolism but repeatedly having dreams like this is odd. She lives in what is probably the safest city in the world.

Sounds like a very unpleasant way to spend one's nights. It may not have so much to do with the safety of where she lives but rather it may represent how safe or unsafe and grounded she feels in her own self and life.

Like I said in a previous post, whatever I don't deal with in the daylight hours is likely to 'leak out' at night.

Hello,
I am not sure where I stand on dreams, myself. Probably a bit of defragmenting and meaningful wrapped up in one package.
Anyway, I do believe dreams such as the ones you described to be insightful. To my knowledge, they are anxiety dreams.
Your friend may be feeling anxious in their waking life so much so that it is transferring to their dream life. This anxiety may be caused by fear, helplessness, and the like.
I wish your friend the best of luck! Once the issues in waking life are taken care of, these anxiety dreams should stop.
Hugs from:

Yes, her life is filled with extreme anxiety and all the things that go with that. She has mentioned "hearing" a vaguely ominous whispery voice. I explained the living under so much stress for so long can cause that. When my anxiety was at those levels for so long I had all kinds of strange phenomena going on.
