My dreams are seldom what most people would deem pleasant but they are always very detailed and realistic and interesting. Last night I dreamed I was a teen again. My mom had been away for an extended time and I'd been living alone. When she returned she had brought people to live with us. A couple of aunts, a SIL, and two nephews. I objected and planned to leave. I had no transportation of my own (surprisingly) so I walked to a corner store and hitched a ride with a couple of brothers, shady characters. A few hundred feet down the road they got tense and began looking back so I looked back and there were police cars arriving where we'd just left. There was dialogue but for brevity I'll skip that. It developed into a car chase and we were hemmed in and stopped. I tried to explain that I didn't know these guys and had just hitched a ride. Obviously the cops didn't buy that so downtown into the legal system I went. There was intake and processing and such in which I was told that even if my story was true I would be held a minimum of 3 days. Eventually I wound up in interrogation. The cops were pretty cynical and physical and there was some beating. I noticed a cop had left his gun exposed. I grabbed it w/o hesitation because I had no intentions of being in jail for any length of time. It was clear that I couldn't use the gun for escape so I turned the gun on myself and fired a shot to my head. Oops... despite a head shot I survived. Next thing I knew I was back at home pretty much paralyzed from the gunshot wound. I knew I'd been in the hospital for quite a while and my story had been proven true... one of those things you know in dreams somehow. Up to then the dream had been interesting. Now it was into the nightmare category. Being paralyzed and stuck in a situation I'd tried to escape from to start the dream. Just wanted to write that one down before I forgot all the details
Two dreams the night before... one involved my sister and I back spending the night in our childhood home... which now belonged to someone else. Also a ghost or demon in that one but it refused to come out and let me confront it.
In the other dream someone was attacked by a pit bull and I went to his defense. This led to an epic battle that evolved into something like the part in LOTR when Gandalf battled the Balrog The dog and I ended up falling into a seeming bottomless chasm and were still falling and battling when the dream ended. Those are brief synopses... I have very detailed dreams The type of dream I find interesting but not frightening or unsettling.

Interesting. These plots sound like they could come from TV shows--or could even make good shows. I hope you will have some less intense dreams sometimes.

Sounds like not very restful sleep indeed.

Although the dreams may sound unpleasant, I find them interesting as well. I kinda wish I had vivid and detailed dreams. However I don't even dream anymore...unfortunately.

I would miss them. Some of them are like living extra lives. I hope your dreams come back and that you enjoy them as much as I enjoy mine.
