I'm sorry you are having this difficulty, Ne5o2. Yes, I don't know why this occurs. But I do know that sleeping at night can become quite a problem for people with mental health struggles.

Some reasons for this could be you're not getting enough exercise during the day, or if you are on medications sometimes they can affect your sleep pattern. Perhaps you might try making yourself stay awake & active during the day & see if you can get back to sleeping at night. Otherwise, this might be something to talk with your health care professional about.

Personally, I'm old enough now so I can sleep almost anytime! Although, even so, I do find that I tend to wake up just about the time it's time for bed at night. Fortunately I'm usually able to go to sleep anyway.
Thanks for this!

Hi Ne5o2: Well, personally, I consider dreams to be of no particular significance except that they perhaps suggest some things that may be on one's mind. I think, in general, people try to assign too much significance to them. It's like trying to assign special meaning to the appendix!

But it is true that sometimes when we're not fully asleep, but not completely awake either, we can have dreams that appear to be very real, & also real experiences that seem like dreams. That borderland between sleep & wakefulness can be an interesting place.

Another thing that I know, from personal experience, can happen is that one can have deeply meaningful spiritual dreams that can affect one deeply. I had one when I was still a teenager that I still remember to this day even though I'm now in my 60's.
Thanks for this!

Wow, what a great explanation.. Such an honor to learn from people who have more experience than me..thanks

I had quite a few dreams that I clearly remember till now since I was 7..insignificant yet before that I used to believe that I having paranormal experience instead of dream. In dream, people dream of them in other place/dimension, but mine always happen in bedroom..plus I saw for real-ghost before so it adds to my belief..

Mine started of with visual, auditory&tactile, about 5min after I lie/sit on bed & disappear after I close my eyes, turn my head left right & reopen my eyes/just run out of my room..eg.I saw boy standing besides my bed talking which I couldn't understand, a lady's head without body on my bed.. years later I started to have what people said as sleep paralysis, can't move but heard men's voice whispering, followed by difficulty breathing like something restricting my rib cages from expanding, can't breath.. become more severe when i feel like 2 souls trap in a body, having 2 breathing pattern at d same time. Lastly, I see & feel myself float toward d ceiling & fall down onto d bed speedily, again & again til I close & reopen my eyes.. then everything stop... All happen in 17 years, once in a while, I'm now in mid20s.

Through years of learning& searching, now I believe all of this is just what clinically known as hypnogogic & hynopompic hallucination.. that's what preventing me from sleeping at night.. it becomes a type of fear in me although not all happen at night...
