So, I was really tired this afternoon and took a nap. I had a strange dream about being in my place and talking to my Mom. Then, I awoke and was in sleep paralysis. I thought of going for an out of body experience like I have before, but opted not to and called on God to protect me from demons (which can attack you in sleep paralysis or so I have heard). So, to my surprise, I hallucinated a bible-like book in my lap and this guy who was dressed like a saint appeared in my closet. It merely formed out of the clothes I had on a hook. I could control the apparitions to a degree but it still looked and felt totally real like in a dream. I woke up totally normal as usual and got on with my day. After this I felt a bit better about things Have you ever experienced anything like this before? I feel that I may have actually been visited by a deceased saint in my bedroom and then awoke. I'm sure if somebody else were there, they wouldn't have seen it, but it looked plenty real while I was awake and in sleep paralysis. Maybe spiritual matters like that come to us through the mind which is unique to the individual if that makes any sense. Maybe real only exists to the individual person? What do people think about this idea?

Hey, Steve. I do believe there is an ultimate reality. But, yes, to some extent we make our reality by how we interpret things. After someone has died I have had dreams where I see the person again and he/she is happy. They give me peace of mind.

I do think God can speak through dreams. Folks who read the Christian Bible can read accounts of that happening in both the Old and New Testaments.

I have felt visitations from something but I'm not sure it's anything I can describe. I have poor control over my dreams as is, but sometimes feel as if there are certain concepts or abstract beings in the same space, if that makes sense at all. Not saints or deities, but different positive or negative energies, maybe.
