My 15y/o sister confided in me that she has had violent dreams regularly where people she loves end up dead. She's had them regularly for as long as she can remember, and seems adjusted to it but still pretty terrified.

She was put on suicide watch at school when one of her friends couldn't take it anymore, but my sister assured me that she isn't thinking about it right now.

Usually I don't remember my dreams, and have a generally nonrestful sleep. I'm chronically depressed, but have never had any dreams like this before and was curious if anyone else has experienced this. I take my big brother role seriously and am looking to help her as best I can but am not truly sure how. Has anyone experienced this before?

blackmagic, Hello. Did your sister's friend actually commit suicide? Even if she didn't, your sister could still be worried about losing her friend.

She did follow through and commit suicide. She has been missing her, and I believe they had kind of bonded over depressive outlooks on life.

blackmagic, Is your sister currently in therapy to deal with her friend's suicide? I'm glad she has you to watch over her!
