A few yrs. ago I read a lot of Carl Jung and his theories about the shadow and animus/anima.

Not long after that, I dreamed of a tiger leading my younger self down to a lagoon and we played in the water. I felt so great after having the dream.

Last night I dreamed that I was a passenger in a car and I had a huge black panther siting on my lap. The cat was staring intently out the window. I wanted to calm it down but was afraid of being attacked. It didn't though.

Both dreams were so surreal and if felt as if all my senses were involved. I felt very alive in both.

I don't know if big cats represent my anima or shadow but I would love to have dreams like that all the time.

Has anyone dreamed of an animal that may represent your shadow or animus/ anima?

I can't recall that I have. But I could see they could represent yours, given your liking of felines anyway.
Thanks for this!

Oh, that sounds really interesting. Maybe I should read some of Carl Jung's works... I can't remember seeing any animals in my dreams.
Thanks for this!

The Mountain Lion is my "Big Cat" in my dreams. Yes those Big Cats are You and are important parts of your self.

Maybe it is totally appropriate that ManxCatWoman would dream of cats! LOL
It might have been a lucid dream. Were you aware of dreaming?
