I worked as a waitress for a couple of months, and during that time, was very stressed out about the job. However, one thing I hated the most about this was that when I finally fell exhausted into bed at night, there would be no rest! Nearly every work night I dreamt about waiting tables. It was always just as stressful as the most stressful moments at work. I felt like I was being watched by my boss, it felt very real, the customers were all complaining... it was terrible.
There are a lot of reasons why I'm reluctant to go back into that line of work, but since I may have to in the near future for monetary reasons, I'd like nightmares to not be on the list. Any clues as to how not to dream about work (especially when it usually ends past midnight)? Bonus points for seasoned waiters' advice. Thanks ![]() |

It will happen again. Our mind does process the days events in our dreams. The hours you work will make this even worse. My advice is to find a different line of work. Work the day shift as well.

Its been years since I left my career and I still have frequent dreams on work. Its annoying.
