This is the second time I have had this dream.

I am with a couple of members of my family and we are at the airport and want to fly to America. The walk to the boarding area is very long. It is only when I get to the boarding area that I realized I forgot to apply for a Travel Visa. It's too late now. So I have to go all the way back home.

Any ideas?

What were your feelings in the dream? For me, that's generally the key to figuring out what the symbolism and imagery mean.

It could be a fear of separation from your family, since they went on the trip and you didn't. It could be feeling that you've forgotten or missed something important, as represented by the missing visa. Or it could be a fear of missing out on something like a big trip. But those are just guesses based on how I would feel in that situation, so they may not resonate with you.
Thanks for this!

Nobody got to go on the trip. In the first dream my brother in law was furious with me.

I think in real life that I can never get anything right. I always seem to lose things in my dreams.

Geis - I do think I have missed out on many big things in life.

Maybe it is not important to be with your family members all the time, thus you forgot the Travel Visa, and returned home, to yourself.
Thanks for this!

I'm forever loosing things & forgetting to bring things along with me when I go somewhere & always having to go back home to get it.

The other day we all had tickets to go to the races at Churchill Downs....we all met in the parking lot of a little neighborhood grocery store....& we all checked with each other to make sure we all had our tickets before we drove 1 1/2 hours to the races. I have had too many times when I start driving down the road & remember that I forgot something I needed & have to constantly turn around & go back.....maybe your dream is something similar....I would probably dream something like that if I had dreams I remembered.
