I had a dream that a huge explosion occured, way more violent than a normal volcano explosion, which forced lava out of the ground and into the air. Then it all came back down and started flowing rapidly towards the vehical I was in with a few other people. We started driving very fast away and the lava was right behind us, no room to brake or anything. Other than the lava being splashed a few times while hitting a few bumps in the ground, it flowed very smoothly but quickly behind us. Eventually it began to slow down and we out drove it and got away quickly. Not sure what this could represent.

Dreams can only be understood in the specific context of your life. Someone who doesn't know anything about your life will never be able to have a slightest idea what your dreams mean. Generally speaking, if you want to get just an approximate sense of what type of a message your dreams carry, it's helpful to keep in mind the following:
1. The precipitating event that triggered the dream. It is something that usually happens on the same day or the day before you had the dream. Try to recall what happened and what kind of significance it had for you and see what kind of connection it has with the dream. 3. Your present struggle. Whatever your current problem is at the moment, it is usually reflected in dreams one way or the other. 4. Historical context. Both the precipitating event and the present struggle have to fit into a historical context of what your general struggle has been throughout your life. 5. Pay attention to the characters in your dream and what they represent to you. 6. Most and foremost, recall in as much detail as possible what you were feeling while dreaming. This is the only part of the dream that is real and doesn't require interpretation, and, therefore, it's the most important part. Whatever you feel in the dream you feel during your waking hours except you, most likely, suppress it when you are awake which makes you unaware of the feeling. Feeling is the key to what the dream is referring to. There is no dream dictionary that can tell people what means what. Everything in the dream is 100% unique to the person and his or her individual circumstances. |

Ryan that's a scary dream. When I was a very little girl and my parents drove us to see a field of wild red poppies. In the wind they looked like flowing lava and I thought we'd die so naturally I started crying. Had nightmares for a while about it. For me I think the dream was about being small and helpless. For you it's different because you were with others and had a means of escape, being able to drive. Maybe you woke with feelings of relief or triumph?

The lava may represent your red hot feelings exploding out of you, and flowing freely. You are able to keep ahead of them.
